Our weekly Friday Action Quads event was held at the Charlotte Chess Center's Main/South location on February 9, 2024. A total of 35 players participated this week, with a seven player Quad H.
Friday Action Quads is a USCF-rated scholastic chess tournament open to all players K-12. The following players finished in first place in their respective quads:
Quad A: Benjamin Raz (3 points)
Quad B: Shlok Kaushik (2.5 points)
Quad C: Shiva Silaparasetty (3 points)
Quad D: Lucas Sojo and Vihaan Dhulipala (2 points)
Quad E: Temir Alimov and Reyansh Mayank (2.5 points)
Quad F: Akul Gowdru (2.5 points)
Quad G: Adhrith Srikrishna and Nandith Nishanth (2.5 points)
Quad H: Evan Chen (3 points)
Benjamin Raz has won Quad A in FAQ four times so far in 2024! Our other perfect finishers were Shiva Silaparasetty and Evan Chen. All players K-8 who achieve perfect scores in an FAQ tournament are qualified for our NEW Tournament of Champions scheduled for May 4, 2024.
