On January 26, 2024, the Charlotte Chess Center Main/South location hosted the weekly Friday Action Quads event. 34 scholastic players showed up across eight sections (with a six-player Quad H) to play three US Chess-rated games.
Here are the winners of each quad:
Quad A: Benjamin Raz and Diya Balamurugan (2 points)
Quad B: Jack Cassidy (3 points)
Quad C: Namish Mayank (3 points)
Quad D: Reyansh Mayank and Caiden Deadwyler (2 points)
Quad E: Samuel Price (3 points)
Quad F: Saharsh Santhoshkumar, Aadithya Aragonda, and Antony Rockey (2 points)
Quad G: Pranika Bahl (3 points)
Quad H (six player "small swiss"): Ishaan Patel (3 points)
Jack Cassidy won Quad B with a 3/3 score last week as well. Thanks to his excellent results, his rating has passed 1300 USCF for the first time! Other players who gained over 100 points included Samuel Price, Namish Mayank, Pranika Bahl, and Ishaan Patel.
With their perfect scores, Jack Cassidy, Namish Mayank, Samuel Price, Pranika Bahl, and Ishaan Patel are qualified for our NEW Tournament of Champions scheduled for May 4, 2024.
